On Sunday 23 February at 10:00 AM, a meeting with Andrzej Czop took place – a paraglider and glider pilot, sports commissioner and outstanding meteorologist (not only in aviation!). The event was co-organised by the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków and the Kraków Aero Club.
Andrzej Czop is not only a pilot and sports commissioner, but also an excellent meteorologist highly respected in the aviation community. Flying is his great passion and hobby, while his other speciality is weather forecasting – and he is unrivalled in this field!
He has advised pilots of our national team on numerous occasions, as well as the world champion Sebastian Kawa himself. For over a dozen years, no attempt at a 1,000 km flight in Poland has taken place without the meteorological support provided by Andrzej Czop!
Thanks to such a reputation, crowds of interested people came to the meeting with the master of meteorology, filling the conference room of the Polish Aviation Museum to capacity.
