On June 2–5, 2024, the 2nd Heritage Security Congress will be held at the Polish Aviation Museum.
The Heritage Security Congress (KOBED) is being organized in Poland for the second time. The first edition of the event clearly demonstrated how necessary discussions on practical aspects of cultural heritage protection during crises and armed conflicts have become in recent times. That is why we are pleased to be able to invite representatives of the most important public institutions to Kraków this year.
To organize the 2nd Heritage Security Congress, the Director of the Polish Aviation Museum, Tomasz Kosecki, signed a cooperation agreement with the Director of the Institute of Heritage Security, Dr. Katarzyna Góralczyk, regarding the organization and promotion of this event.
The congress debates on heritage security will be accompanied by workshops, consultations with experts, and exercises organized in cooperation with uniformed services — the Police, the Polish Armed Forces, Emergency Medical Services, the State Fire Service, and others. Together we will undertake multifaceted discussions on the need to update existing national and international regulations in the area of heritage protection.
The Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków, given its unique character and the size of its collections, will pay special attention to the protection of large-scale objects during armed conflicts.
