On Friday, 5 December, our Museum was filled with a festive atmosphere with an aviation twist! Children had the opportunity to take part in creative model-building workshops: they could build and decorate a model themselves — a keepsake to remind them of this special day. In the exhibition hall, a saint with a white beard, a crosier and… sweets was also waiting!
In addition to the creative workshop part, there was a meeting with St. Nicholas… but not in a sleigh — in an aviation setting! After souvenir photos, participants also had time to explore the museum exhibition. It was a day full of fun, learning and adventure among historic aircraft.
The announced offer for schools sold out like hot cakes. Soon after registration opened, all time slots were taken — which only shows the enormous interest in combining education, history and festive fun. Pupils and teachers appreciated the opportunity to spend St. Nicholas Day in an unusual way.
