On Sunday, 8 June, the grounds of the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków were transformed into a vibrant, colourful Kingdom – both literally and figuratively. This year’s Małopolska Day, celebrated on a grand scale and with exceptional pageantry, attracted crowds of residents and guests from across the region. All thanks to the jubilee edition, which – on the occasion of the Millennium of the Kingdom of Poland – focused on historical heritage, combining education with entertainment at the highest level.
This is one of the largest outdoor events in Małopolska, attracting crowds of residents and tourists every year. The centrepiece of the programme was the “Royal Mission” – a story-driven outdoor game in which participants followed in the footsteps of ancient chroniclers and courtly intrigues. The task was to find a lost quill – the symbol of order in the Kingdom. Brave participants encountered characters straight out of the tales of Długosz, riddles and challenges that required cunning and keen observation. The whole adventure was rewarded with gifts worthy of a royal treasury.
The event grounds were divided into six unique zones that provided attractions for participants of all ages:
A true star-studded lineup took the stage – audiences were warmed up by LemON, Baranovski and Mateusz Mijał, and the atmosphere in front of the stage rivalled a hussar charge. Between concerts, there were knight tournaments, horse stunt shows and falconry displays, as well as quizzes with prizes – including tickets to Energylandia.
There was also no shortage of opportunities to deepen one’s knowledge – all guests could take advantage of free admission to the Polish Aviation Museum, which attracts not only aviation enthusiasts but also entire families every day.
Małopolska Day 2025 proved to be a true festival of tradition, joy and communal celebration. We thank everyone who visited our Museum on that day. We hope that these exceptional moments will remain in participants’ memories for a long time – until the next edition!
