At 7:30 PM in the Main Hangar, the Museum Director, Mr. Tomasz Kosecki, officially opened Museum Night and welcomed all guests. Following the welcome, the vernissage of the exhibition about the Kraków 2nd Aviation Regiment took place, led by Mr. Jarosław Dobrzyński.

This is the first exhibition dedicated to the 2nd Aviation Regiment in the Museum’s history!

Jan Hoffmann, during the Meeting by the Aircraft, spoke about the history of the PZL P.11c, an aircraft important to the 2nd Aviation Regiment. It was a very fruitful meeting, though if Mr. Jan wanted to share all his knowledge about this aircraft, one night wouldn’t be enough!

Unfortunately, weather conditions did not allow us to hold a full balloon show. However, everyone interested had the opportunity to step into the basket, take a souvenir photo, and ignite the flame.

The evening was also enlivened by a concert by the “Dywizjon” band from the General Aviation High School in Dęblin. The young performers delighted everyone with their arrangements, earning them thunderous applause.

The culmination of Museum Night was the presentation of the Albatros B.II in its new, restored version. The paint scheme was created by Mr. Piotr Łopalewski, whom we sincerely thank. Marek Siuta, who runs the “Zabytki Nieba” (Monuments of the Sky) channel, spoke about the aircraft.

Additionally, during Museum Night, visitors could enjoy a field game, an educational zone, styled aviation photographs, and tours of the interiors of exhibits — Mi-8, Yak-40, and An-26.

We sincerely thank everyone for visiting our Museum in such great numbers. We invite you to future events!
