On 13 December 2025, exciting card model competitions took place at the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków. The event brought together young modelling enthusiasts who competed in two categories.
On Saturday morning, the Polish Aviation Museum became an arena for young card modellers. The event, organised in cooperation with the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association and other partners, aimed to popularise aviation modelling and develop technical skills and imagination among young people.
28 participants competed in the contest in two age categories: Junior Younger and Cadet. The competition was fierce, but our young modellers demonstrated their skills — in both categories they took top places!
Four judging criteria applied in both categories:
In the Junior Younger category, 17 people took part, and all three top places were won by participants of the Polish Aviation Museum MODEL WORKSHOP. In the Cadet category, 11 participants competed — 2nd and 3rd places were also taken by modellers from our MODEL WORKSHOP.
Congratulations to all participants who took part in the competition — we are proud that our modellers achieved top places and superbly represented the Polish Aviation Museum.
The MODEL WORKSHOP of the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków is a place where weekly WORKSHOP SESSIONS on building flying models (balloons, gliders, aircraft… including radio-controlled ones!) are held.
They are led by Michał Filas — one of the most outstanding Polish aviation modellers! A member of the national team in aviation modelling. We invite children and young people over the age of 10 to the weekly sessions.
More details can be found on the MODEL WORKSHOP page.
