As part of a series of exhibitions dedicated to outstanding Polish aviation designers, the Polish Aviation Museum invites you to the exhibition Stanisław Prauss and His Designs.
Stanisław Prauss (born November 28, 1903, in Warsaw; died November 12, 1997, in London) was an aviation designer — the creator of some of the most famous Polish aircraft of the 1930s. He worked at the State Aviation Works (PZL) in Warsaw, and from World War II onward at the British aircraft companies Westland and de Havilland.
The exhibition will feature memorabilia donated to the Museum’s collections by Mr. Włodzimierz Pietkiewicz — a member of the Prauss family, including personal documents, a Swiss-made Jaeger aviation clock from a PZL-4 aircraft, and an identification badge from the State Aviation Works in Mielec. The exhibition will be complemented by a model of the PZL.23 Karaś aircraft.
During the vernissage, which took place on May 12, 2024, visitors could attend a special Meeting by the Aircraft led by Jan Hoffmann, who spoke about the PZL.23 Karaś aircraft.
