On Saturday, 12 July 2025, a ceremonial military oath of soldiers of the 11th Małopolska Territorial Defence Brigade took place at the Pobiednik Wielki Airfield. The Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków had the honour of taking part in this event – both as a promotional partner and as a participant supporting historical and patriotic education.
The event was the symbolic conclusion of 16 days of basic training for new Territorial Defence Force soldiers, and at the same time an important moment for the local community – full of pride, emotion and patriotic values. Among those taking the oath were residents of the Brzesko, Bochnia, Tarnów and Dąbrowa districts.
From 11:00 to 15:00, our promotional and educational stand was in operation. We spoke with participants about the history of Polish aviation, presented our upcoming events and exhibitions – including the approaching opening of the new permanent exhibition “With the Wind and Against the Wind – Civil Aviation”. There was also no shortage of aviation gadgets and educational materials.
It was a wonderful opportunity for us to establish new contacts, promote the Museum’s offer and celebrate together with those who serve their homeland. We warmly thank the 11th Małopolska Territorial Defence Brigade and the Kraków Aero Club for the invitation and co-organisation of the event.
