On 27-31 January 2025, the “Winter Aviation Expedition” took place – a unique winter day camp during which young participants aged 8-11 discovered the fascinating world of aviation and technology.
What makes aeroplanes fly even though they are so heavy? How does a glider differ from an aeroplane and how long can it stay in the air? What is a flying ace and could you become one too?… Children sought answers to these and many other questions during the 2025 winter holidays organised at the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków!
It was a unique opportunity to spend time among peers, gain new knowledge and have great fun. Participants of the Winter Aviation Expedition took part in workshops, team-building activities, guided tours and film screenings. They also visited the Home Army Museum, where they learned about the history of Polish heroes from the World War II period, and made origami at workshops at the Manggha Centre of Japanese Art and Technology.
