“Women in Polish Aviation” is a comprehensive historical exhibition presenting biographies and artefacts associated with the most important female aviators in the history of Poland. The exhibition is a true testament to the determination, passion, and perseverance of women who, despite adversity, always rose to meet challenges.

From military pilots to glider pilots and parachutists — each of the exhibition’s heroines made an invaluable contribution to the development and achievements of Polish aviation. The exhibition presented profiles of the following aviatrixes:

pilots: Stefania Wojtulanis-Karpinska, Jadwiga Pilsudska-Jaraczewska, Anna Leska-Daab;
glider pilots: Wanda Modlibowska, Krystyna Klimaszewska, and Pelagia Majewska;
military pilots: Bronislawa Kaminska-Dudek, Zofia Dziewiszek-Andrychowska.

Their stories form the narrative axis presenting women’s involvement in the development, survival, reconstruction, and successes of Polish aviation. The exhibition was complemented by numerous memorabilia related to the Aerosabats — rallies of Polish women pilots.

Special thanks and appreciation for their help in organising the exhibition go to Jolanta Przybylak, Magdalena Kroh, Irena Cabaj, Anna and Mieczyslaw Dziadowicz, Leszek Mankowski, and Jaroslaw Andrychowski.
