A prototype motor glider developed by the Warsaw University of Technology.

The design of PW-4 Pelikan (English: Pelican) motor glider was made during 1989-1990 in Composite Constructions Scientific and Development Group of the Institute of Aviation Technology and Applied Mechanics at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering (FPAE) of Warsaw University of Technology. Its general concept was tried on two-seat PW-3 Bakcyl glider (one built).

Two examples were built, one for static tests. The construction was made of composites, with fabric-covered wings. The prototype first flew on 23 December 1990 and the test program ended in July 1995. It turned out that the motor glider's characteristics did not comply market demands and further development was abandoned.

On 2 November 2012 this PW-4 Pelikan (SP-8050) crashed near Babice airfield in Warsaw. After this accident in 2014–2015 it was rebuilt as a static exhibit by the workers and graduates of the FPAE and subsequently donated to the Museum. In total the PW-4 flew almost 800 hours.
